Usually with a car you get both the cc's and HP. Are there any charts/graphs that convert them to HP. Just wondering what my stock 400 is pushing. How many cc's in a HP?

Thanks Dave:confused:

more like 25-26. Usually with a pipe/filter and jetting its closer to 27-28 and this is at the wheels.

You can't make a direct correlation between HP and displacement alone. Displacement is only one of many characteristics that makes an engine what it is (and determines how much power it produces).

yeah theres no real way to tell the hp by cc. compression, head design, cam, rpm, timing, have alot more to do with horsepower. for example chevy 5.7l motors out of the 80's made like 150hp, wile turbocharged 1.5l F1 motors made over 1000hp.

Kinda impressive such a small amount of HP, could move a 400lb machine and a 250lb rider.

1 hp = 33,000 ft·pound-force|·min−1 = exactly 0.74569987158227022 kW

it doesn't take much hp to move ya round, maybe 2or3hp, but to move round n' accelerate at that speed is where the other 20+ or so come in to play hehe

Thats interesting to know. I never thought about it but years ago I was riding a go-kart. It only had a 5HP engine on it.

Thanks for the info
Dave
