dual pipes one out each side works great improved the throttle response and seems to have alot more power than before.the fmf's seem to have added even more and the sound is great

guess noone likes the dual pipes on there except me and everyone thats rode it before and after i did it.oh well i guess since i have so much into it and noone seems to have much interest ill keep it in the garage collecting dust.everyone thought the pipes were a bad idea in the powertrain section too but ill never have a single pipe on one again.all and fine it'll be sitting right there if anyone wants to do anything with it.thanks for the intrest though

well im still tring to get some new pics of the ex not having a anything to do that is holding me back a bit almost 10000 miles on the bike is quite a bit it looks pretty decent but im sure it probably needs a clutch unless its been done and definatly needs to be painted but i am considering it are those plastics new or just painted black?

im not exactly sure..my cousin got rid of his quad for and bought that and his parents dont want him to have a bike...it needs a little cosmetic work as ive said and it runs fine for the milage it has...if you want i can get you a video in the next few days

well i dont think i need the vid. because my computer wont play it but i do think that going from an 01 to a 94 probably wouldnt be a very good trade on my part plus thats probably a $2000 bike and ive put $1000 into the ex in the past month or two there are ex's here going for $3000 not even having half of the mods. that i do so im really not sure that its worth what my ex is

how about $1,500 cash for your ex? oh and using those two stroke banshe pipes lowers your back pressure greatly costing your piston and rings to jump, which means your piston and rings will blow sooner then with a normal 4 stroke exhaust. how long have you hade those pipes on there? if ridin with those pipes for more then 3 months i do not want it becuase the motor will be junk in another month.

well since i just put $1000 into it plus i bought it for 3000 why would i want 1500 hell 99's are still going for 3200 up here with hardly any mods and if what you're saying is true that means that every truck with a flowmaster or whatever on it the motor will be junk because they lower backpressure to almost nothing and ive had the pipes on it for around 3 months just got the new ones on but i also havent rode it for about that 3 months which is why ive had the time to do the build up on it

it is diffrent from vehicles and quads/nikes and i knew you were going to say that just becuase i do not know the exact reason why. i just know you can run straight headers on older vehicles and they will not have engine trouble but if you run a straight header on a quad you will smoke the engine.

well thats all and fine if thats you point of view ive been working on engines since i was very young and near as i can tell there wont be any problems with it but either way $1500 is way low and im sure everyone on here is going to tell you the same thing on all your offers to them also since im not running a compleatly open header there shouldnt be any problems with the rings and it doesnt get hot enough to warp or sink a valve either thanx for the input but i got it covered

just making sure you under stand that if two stroke pipes were such an improvement racers would allready be using them on ther 4 strokes. there has to be some draw backs, and rember "for every action there is an equal and oppisite reaction".

2 stoke pipes wont fit on a 4 stroke quad....:huh

oh yes they do the pipes are the exact same size as the head pipes 1 1/8" all the way back to the silencers heres a pic before i put the fmfs on these are just stock used and i might add they were well used before i got them.but they made a big differance in throttle response no matter what anyone says i love it but i really want a street bike. also the valve seals were leaking when this pic was taken which is why the pipes look so blackened inside.sorry no pics of the new pipes or how it looks all cleaned up

ok 1-1/8. al the way to the head means it has two stroke silencers, not two stroke pipes(indacating headers/jugs/can.) that could work. why did you just take a side pic and post it so those of us who are confused can be set on the right path.;)

oh and running your quad with no baffels might have had nothing to do with your valve seals going right?:p

xxnightraven73x

actually no baffles had noting to do with it. it was starting to smoke with the old e-series on it.i just decided to replace everything at once.and silencers are fluted so they do have baffling its basically like putting a glass pack on a truck.it sounds almost the same as when it had the e-series on it but it goes alot better than before with these new fmf's on there.

and it hasnt blwon up yet? dude....2 stroke isnt made for 4 stroke...seriously....so when it blows dont come crying to us

the only differance in th pipes is the density of the packing that is used.but hey i wasnt asking for opinions i was asking if anyone wanted to trade and obviously noone does so in two weeks im going to mud run/sand drag it.and if it blows up oh well i can pretty much rebuild an engine blindfolded not a problem.
