air intake, Headers, cams, Adjustable Cam Gears, high compression pistons, mill the head down, port the head, valve job, new intake or port stock one, port throttle body, Springs, brakes, Rear Toe Adjusters, Clutch, good tires, turbo, possi, traction control, strut braces. custom chip, bigger injectors. and do a general tune up - (plugs, wires, timing belt, ignition system, fuel filter, oils )

or you could get a spoon motor

camber the right front wheel

ya hter's not much u could do short of paying out the @ss for less hp than a v-6. I would just run a pipe about 2 feet long straight off the headers and get a cone high flow filter and rig up an intake with the correct size heating ducts. you could cam and re gear and all that but that takes cash and i don't know yer budget situation. prolly the mod that would give you the most performance woul be to regear on a 1/4 mile oval. re-gear so u top out at liek 65, but with wicked response.

You HAVE to put a gigantic tachometer. Everyone who has a Civic seems to have one, I think they make them go faster! I saw an automatic with one in it this morning, so don't let that stop you!

PS... Don't forget the 12 million candle power shift light.

5" fart can, huge spoiler, body kit, and ur good to go. maybe even some huge stickers and a tach that goes to 12k rpm's.

I guess since u got it for free i wont say to much more

I love the responces.

Im with all ya and that civics are turds.

But its a 4 cylinder enduro race. For thoes of you that dono what an enduro race is... Its prety much let er rip, when theres so many broken doun cars on the track you have to start cutting throu the infeeld they put out the RED flag. then push the dead cars off the track with a loader. then they throw the green from a stop and its pretty much a burnout contest. guys can enter the pits during races and come back on to the track if they need to fix the cars. No yellow flags in a enduro race. Theres usually about 50 cars out there at a time to. so it is pretty packed, its more like drivin in traffic than racing. Only diffrence from this and driving in trafic is that your allowed to batter your way throu. Its a BLAST of fun.

I dont think I will re-gear for the fact that 2nd gear is perfect for the track. it hits the rev limmiter just at the end of the strait, and pulls nicely out of the corners all in 2nd gear. I dont want to be out there shifting the whole time.

the exhaust gets a piece of pipe from the header that is just long enough to get out behind the front tire.

them big tachs are silly!! when the car stops pulling or is bouncing off the rev limiter.. SHIFT.
