Kicker on a ER, where and price?

Im frustrated with my starter on my ER! Never even close on pulling a holeshot from a dead engine start. Starter keeps wanting to hang up. Would like to put a kicker on my bike and was wondering where I could find a kit to do so? Also about how much would it cost?

I'm wondering the same thing myself.


I bought the ER new on june 10th and the starter was dead by July 18th, sad yeah.


It's fixed now but I am still wanting to convert. Either that or I'm trading it in for a kicker.

For all the parts to take all the electric start parts off runs around $500 for the all the internals,kicker,starter plug,bearings,and the spacer to remove the starter clutch. I have done 2 bikes for myself and 3 for customers the other problem you run into is the ER does not have a hot start on the carb. I did not worry about it on my practice bike it starts Ok when it is hot. It is not hard to install the parts other than there is one hole you have to plug or it will transfer oil from trans to motor.
