hey guys i was wondering,
what do you think the best tires are for a 250r. i ride alot of trails and race mx some.

I was thinking the holeshot mxr4 or 6. Oh and i need just the rear tires. they look pretty mean, and aggressive, but i wanted to ask you guys.

IF anybody has rear or front tires forsale please tell me, im looking for front MX TIRES!! and the rears would have to be 9 in. and fronts would have to be 10 in!

thanks

I say RazrII's. I've had stock Ohtsu's several times (like 400EX tires), Razr 1, iRazr, and Holeshots and I like the RzrII the best. They will spin when you want them to, and grab like hell when you need them to.

I haven't had trouble. The only thing I noticed that I didn't like was the Razr2 tires seem to be softer compound than the Ohtsu's and iRazr's that I used most often before switching to Razr2. The same goes for the orginal Razr's.

This means they wear quicker, especially if you do any riding on pavement. Overall, I'd say they wear 1 1/2 times faster than the Ohtsus.

The thing with the Razr2's is, though, that even when they are almost bald they still grab as good as a fresh set of Ohtsus.

Hope I cleared things up a bit for you.

I would go with the RazrMX's. I had 20in. fronts, and 18in. rears on my 250r. I did alot of trail riding with those tires, also riding in sand pits. They hook up good in just about every condition, excpet mud. They also powerslid predictably, and when I wanted them to.

When I drag raced I used nothing but ohtsu's.....I have seen them on banshee's, 370R, 450R, YFZ's.....they are good for the straight line. I also have a set of Holeshots that I have had since 2001 and they have not worn down that bad.......but I dont ride as often as I should.
