I don't think its the greatest idea... ecspecially if your trail riding.

u can go +2 or +4. they r measured diff then a-arms. a +2 is 2 inches wider than stock and a +4 is 4 in. wider than stock. 47in. would be where the 400ex would sit with a +2 axle. that would work just fine for most trails(unless ur in real tight stuff)
u will see more stability, thus better handling. i will be doing that to my bike in about a month because i bent my stock one.

I have +2 a-arms and a g-force adjustable axle and I don't have any problems going through the trails. The only reason I said it's not the greatest idea to have your rear end stick out further is because you don't want to be riding along and think your going to clear between these two trees and then make it and get caught up with your rear end instead:ermm:

i run +1 arms and have a durablue+2+4 on mine i havent had any problems going through the trails you just have to watch on the close stuff esp when you first start riding it with it wider

Stock shocks are set up already for about 180-200 pound rider... so if you get longer arms and are running your stock shocks they'll be really really soft. As long as you arn't doing any jumping, I don't see a problem with running them as long as it's just temporary:)

awsomeaussies said it perfect as long as you arent jumping alot and are saving for shocks later you could go ahead and get a arms but still i think i would get the shocks first and just get them valved for the arms you plan on getting even though they will be stiff

i got a durablue axle on my blaster and it brought the length to 48 1/2" with offset rims. and all i ride is trals... i loved it when i got it. sence its a blaster, i just flipped the front rims to make up for the axle.
