ok guys, this is my first quad. When i take my ex off a jump and get some good air, the quad or me floats away. i busted up my leg because of this (no nurf bars yet) leg got trapped under the peg on a 4gear 25-30 mph jump. why does it do this? what i'm i do'n wrong. i want to land a big air jump damit!!!!!
thx

I am a skiier from way back and I can tell you from jumping cliffs is you have to start small and work your way up. It takes practice.

start with your knees bent on the jump then kinda straighten then when in the air, then bend again when you are landing, this happened to me once and i found it was because i wasn't comcentrating hard enogh and wasn't really set up the right way for the jump. if you keep you r kegs bent and then strighten them out in the air it will keep your feet on the pegs and then when landing bend them again for some absorbtion

travis pastrana puts grip tape on the side of his bike. Pry tear up your boots and pants though.

yea but when your pastrana and have a sh*t load of $$$, it doesnt matter what it does to your tape, considering, the company you have will give you them for free.

use your knees as "extra suspension". RELAX. tighten your bolts that hold your pegs, may be loose:D . jkjkjk

Is your suspension kicking you away from the machine. Or just bad posture. Get into attack form. Stand up knees slightly bent elbows up and relax let the machine work underneath you. Try smaller jumps at first man why practice on big ones if you can't control small ones. You have to control the jump before it looks good. Right now you are just giving your buddy's bloopers to remember. Good luck.

The only time I ever had that problem was I was jumping downhills without useing enough throttle. The bike would fall away from me. Are you holding a steady throttle all the way up the face and not loseing revs in the process??

i guess I should of went in to detail better but it might be a good idea to squeeze the tank with your legs more and try to find a type of rubber or substitute for skateboard grip tape.

i don't know if your being sarcastic or not but do a no footer and then a no hander and you shouldn't have to worry about it as much.

I think he mean the bike drops from under him. You have to get into alot better potion. You also have to preload the suspesion.

It used to happen to me when I tried real hard to pull the front end up. Don't try to fight your quad when you're in the air. Just relax and ride it through the air.

I hope your standing up when you jump, because if you don't, the suspension will kick you up. I did that on a small jump just for the kicks of it and lets just say I'm glad it wasn't a big jump or I would have been hurting!!! ;):)

he seems not to be listening to us but he must have his butt to close to the seat and it bucks him off. ive done it but recovered without missing the pegs. jumps with big lips will do it mostly. ya gotta have your a** up!:macho

It shouldn't matter if you are sitting or not. If the rear is kicking you then your rebound is too fast. I jump sitting sometimes cause it helps preload the rear shock.

When I first started jumping I had a hard time keeping my feet on the pegs but then someone told me to press my weight into them and use an aggressive stance with my arms stretched out and weight over the seat and it has seemed to work great ever since.

just relax and ride loose....on the gas all the way up the face and the quad will lift and stay with you

dont sit on the seat, it makes your rear shock pop u up and it can b fun when u get expeirenced
