I never even heard of this. Do you just cut it and grid it down? And what is the purspose? Power Gains?

I'm sure someone has.. but the HMF is just about right as it is.

Making it shorter usually jsut makes it louder w/ a very slight bottom end gain.

That being said.. I did shorten my Sparks X-4 by 2 inches. But, that was more of a precautionary measure. I did it so the turndown wouldn't hit the ground if I accidentally put it up on its haunches, or wanted to tip it up for cleaning/maintenance. Used to stick 1" past the grab bar.

i have three friends that all shaved theres down almost in half they say they have noticed the lowend gain but the only thing i noticed was how much freaking louder they were lol
