lighten my 400

any ways i can lighten my quad?

Here's a few things I did to mine:

Remove the factory heat shield and shave off the mounts, less weight and looks cool.

Remove the factory toolbox and shave the mount--the lid always came off mine

Remove the factory taillight and shave the mounts--I installed a small LED light in the airbox.

Remove the parking brake assembly.

Remove the heelguards

Remove the factory snorkel/remove the choke and airbox lid.

take off front brakes, get lighter shocks, aluminum axle, lighter stem, lots of options, matters what riding style you are into, looks like by your mods, you dune. If you serious about drag racing, start lightening that bike, triple buff skat traks or stu brats weigh 9-11lbs for each tire, and your sand stars are heavy

what ever you say, if you think this is wrong, then you have never been to the dunes and seen drag bikes.

drag bikes r one thing. but he didn't talk about dragging, he asked how to lightten up his quad. if u r not drag racing then it is just down right stupid to remove the front brakes

I agree. Anything other than drags you will need front brakes
