i just did my valve seals and cam and all i used was the same one i use to rebuild all my regular engines its just the flat bar type but it seemed to work just fine on my ex i think i picked it up at advance auto parts for $10-20 its served me well

I borrowed an import engine valve spring compressor from Auto Zone for free. Just put a deposit down (the price of the tool usually), and you'll get it back when you return it.
