Installing K+N!

I'm going to install a K+n filter this weekend should I get a outerwear or will it be ok without one?

If you run the lid, having no outerware should be ok, but if you take the lid off I would definitely get an outerwear.

i would say yes run one because if water gets into your box then it could go into ur motor...

i just put a k/n on my 400ex, with a outware, its always good to have more more protection.. they are cheap, i also messed around with jets in the carb alittle, with a k/n there is alot more air flow according to the test i've seen, so you can make a few hp with messing around with the carb

ijust put mine on and I have holes in my air box lide do I need a outerwear.

i figured if i have a outware on my i don't need a lid, i don't ride in water so my snokel is point less to me... i have also seen a couple lids on here with a outware in the cover, but i think it would be better to put it on the filter in my option

if you leave the lid on and have a K7n with prefilter you still need to rejet right?
