Buying exhaust, what is good?

I know I should have done a search before asking a question as common as this one, but I have been soo much out of the loop on riding I have forgot what was good... I hear the Sparks exhaust system is the best for our 400's? Its a bit pricey I see but what else is out there that will show a gain in power? Is Sparks the way to fly?

sparks is a really nice pipe but ur right about it being pricey, also if it being to load is a problem where u r dont even look into sparks cuz they r very load. i have a HMF full system and i love it. it has a nice beep sound to it and with a quiet core its pritty quiet. (if sound is a prob for u)

The curtis sparks pipe is said to make the most power but it is also very very loud. I used to have one but I sold it because it was too loud.

sparks pipes r the best u can buy, but they r really REALLY LOUD!!!! they read in at 102dec at 2200 rpm. and they r around 108 wide open. they r strictly a track pipe.

yosh makes an excellent pipe and with the quiet core it is only 93dec. those pipes r $395 from rocky mtn atv

LRD the whole way. I put it in and wow what a diff. Very throaty and deep. I think it is the best i would never go to anything else

hmf bill balance carbon fiber is the best pipe on the market imo great sound/preforamce kinda pricey but worth the money cools Real fast... sparks is pretty good i dunno if its worth the money... and lrd is a good ppipe i've heard they have weaks mounts tho and the hmf sport series is pretty good and cheaper

Yah, I cant remember what the legal limit is in my state but im thinking its between 96-101 dec. Becuase I want an exhaust and still be able to go on poker run rides and such and not get bothered for it..

White Brothers pro-meg is a good exhaust. I went from a curtis sparks to a white brothers pro-meg and the power difference was un-noticable. The pro-meg is basically a full system e series. It sounds awesome and makes great power its a little on the pricey side though. I think they are around $500 new.

I now see that sparks does make a spark arrestor/silencer i wonder if that would make any difference?

Yoshimura, Curtis Sparks, HMF, there all good, i would prefer curtis sparks though.
