2006 yfz 450 motor

i have a 2006 yfz 450 that i putting a different motor on .i baught the quad new in may and have only ran 4 tanks of gas through it ,changed the oil 3 times so far (trying to break it in correctly)motor comes complete with carb ...these have been going for 4000 everyday on ebay without the 800 dollar carb im asking 3500 or b/o if anybody is interested ........hit me up for more info and pics.........

No offense, but you've been seeing YFZ engines go for $4k without the carb that have been run through 4 tanks of gas? You can buy a brand new YFZ engine for around what you're asking. Just thought that maybe you should know that, so that you'll have more of a chance to sell your engine.

There is a yfz450 motor on ebay for 1800 right now. Yfz 450's sell for around 4k on ebay not the motors.

kand k has one on ebay bare motor 2006 no carb for 4000 .the carb on the 2006 is 800 dollars and you aint never gonna get a 06 motor for 1800 .06 is the best motor yamaha ever made in the yfz 06 and 07 are the fastest stock racing bredd quad ...oh yeah and by the way 06 is a real 450 not a 440

oh yeah one more thing this is what you will see when its a 2006 motor .check this item #on ebay 190018943844 its 1 of the yfz motors for 4000 with out a carb.

If somebody pays $800 for a fcr carb,then they deserve to get taken.suckers:D Hmm 4 grand i can get a 400hp z24 small block from summit racing with cash left over for headers and a nice 850 holley double pumper.:D

you idiot its not a fcr its a kehlin listen to me one more time ok 06 is a totally different from any other year yfz completely different motor and carb way better and faster all the other years are 439 cc 06 is 449 cc with a carb that is 20mm bigger and electronic throttle positionong sensor ok dude due you get it now or has your lil 400 went to your head .you could never see a 450 on a track dude idc what you got into it so when you become a man and get a real quad call me ........

oh yeah and 1 more thing i called the dealer today and its 950 for the carb and then you gotta pay 220 for throttle position sensor so thats over a grand in the carb ......thats with my sponsorship

You're not only disrespectful but completely ignorant too.

The carb is a Keihin FCR. Keihin is the manufacture, FCR is the model. All years are 39mm and all years have a throttle position sensor.

My suggestion is to stop mouthing off before you expose how little you know about what you're trying talking about.

I highly suggest no one EVER buy anything from this guy, as it seems like he has NO clue what he is talking about or what he even has. Every YFZ has TPS and the carb is not 20mm bigger for the '06.

Btw - XCBob has a brand new '06 carb for $550...that's even with the TPS:D . Obviously XCBob doesn't know what an engine should go for, as I highly doubt anyone in their right mind would buy that engine for that much, even if it is brand new.

hey listen sorry if im being a jerk but hear me out ok xc bob has a bare 06 motor on ebay right now for 3,960 without a carb and your wrong 04 and 05 yfz 's are way slower than 06 by far if have a 05 as well as my 06 so your preaching to the quier here man oh and i had a 04 that i just sold a month ago so .......dont try to tell me they arent way different because they are ..so go to ebay and type in yfz 450 motor and you ll see like 3 06 motors for 4 grand with out a carb ...........k pc

ok well put your $4000 engine in a frame and race my 440 and we'll see if its worth it considering ive got 2/3rds of what you want for your motor built into mine and if i can take a 660 among many others im willing to wager you'll lose too.even a race built motor doesnt go for 3500.and he ment zz4 small block chevy but ignorance is bliss in your case i see

:huh My '05 isn't way slower than an '06. I think you just need to learn how to ride properly. The major difference in the power on the '06 is it's way smoother than the '04/'05, I think it puts out like 1 more HP, if that.

a yz400f motor is faster than a yfz450 motor and you can get them motors for 700 with the carb

naw guys the olny reason i am selling it is i bought a custom built 06 498 cc from bristol..........and the 400 f motor is only faster because its a bike not a quad ...the factory does alotta stuff to quad to slow them down you know?all you gotta do to a 450 is retard the timing and get a rev box and jet it pipe it and that ****ers nasty ....unless you have a 06 or 07 or have ever rode one than you dont know but they come stock pretty fast

the 04 05s are just as fast the power is just in a different spot the 06s are easier to ride and control

well that right there tells me that your a moron cuz i had a 04 and i have a 05 and my 06 is way faster .....so many updates the hole motor is different .....the 06 is a 450 the 04 05 is not a 450 its a 439 ok get it through your heads the new bikes are way faster my uncle has a built 04 and i pull the hell outta him so just admit it dude or better yet if you want i can post the specs of a 04 05 and a 06 on here right from yamaha there r so many updates man .im not trying to b a dick but you guys r just getting to me you say i have a lack of knowledge but the stuff this is about is the basics ....THE 06 IS WAY FASTER >>>here you go ok listen go to yamaha web site and read the write ups for 06 07 and then read them for 04 05 ok ..............then repent!!!!!!

Pimp is right. There has been some changes to the 06 engines. They are finally true 450s But they are not WAY FASTER then a 05.

But they are faster.

Woa, ouch. It cost me $6 to get 2 tires taken off a rim and 2 new tires to be put on. You got ripped off bad, but that guy paid over a grand for a stock carb...:eek2:

Pimpin, I can point out so many things that are wrong with what you're saying but I won't waste my time and energy doing it. You just need to chill out and I'll race you with my stock '05 anyday, and guess what...there isn't THAT big of a difference. Stop acting like they actually slapped the dirtbike engine in the '06/'07.
