View Full Version : chassis/tubing designer software?

anyone know of any good programs that i could possibly design a mini rail chassis on? or for that fact any tubing structure?

umm yeah but none that are cheap, at school we use Unigraphics NX 3.0 but the licenses for that are outrageous, multiples of thousands of dollars, i dont remember but i was shocked.. umm your best bet might be some kind of 2-d autocad and do top view and side view or soemthing....

yes, i know any cad program is expensive... but who said i was gonna "buy" one

hah well, noone, but if your looking, Unigraphics NX 3.0 is an incredible program, you can design engines in it and apply motion and everything....

I dunno if it can do it this, but I have Solid Works 06'. Gonna use it for pro trucks, trophy trucks and pre runners equipment..Basically the same thing but different stages of race trucks and also sand rails..Crazy program so far I love it.

Wings 3d is a 3d graphics program. You can make crap and bacically view any parts of it. Its pretty cool but hard to use. Its free.
