I just wanted to know what is the deal w/ everyone taking the choke off of their carbs

lets more air in the carb... and if u put a 42 pilot u don't need the choke on some quads... mine u do...

the whole choke assembly takes up at least 10% of the carb bore..

I've been meaning to take mine off, but I think I'm just going to cough up the $$ for an FCR carb.
