I would love to get a CRF450 ;however, I dont want a new one to beat up. I would like to get a 2002, and seen one in my local paper for 2,300 OBO. Is it worth it. According to the paper it has new plastic, new motor, and tires. How was the 02 CRF450 back in 2002? lol
Is it worth 2,300.00 according to kbb its worth 3,600 but they dont really know anything about atv/motorcycles/dirtbikes

If anyone has a CBR450 dirtbike for sale let me know

www.nadaguides.com is the accurate guide for used motorcycle pricing. THe 2002's were the 1st year, so there were many bugs to be worked out. I would look for an 03 or better yet an 04, you ccould get one for $2800.

I'd question the shape of an '02 mx bike.

I'm going to use the 02 CRF to hillshoot and completely turn my yfz into a track bike. So even for hillshooting you think the bike might be a bad investment. I dont want nothing with a lot of bugs. I got to always tweak my yfz dued to the fuel injection. I want something where I can just hop on and climb!

so 02 CRF aren't reliable for the most part?
what kind of known problems do they have?

The Ti valves are the biggest problem. Most raced them fine and some wanted different offset on the tripple clamps. All in all very good bikes.
