I just wanted to know if anyone has found a caliper that holds a larger set of pads for the 400ex? Ive been looking at some other bikes and trying to find one that wont require to much work to retrofit onto mine im tired of replacing pads. If anyone has please post it.

A 250r rear caliper and rotor. The caliper is a dual piston as opposed to the single piston found on a 400ex, and the rotor is smaller--better ground clearance.

I had a problem with my pads wearing out, first off all after market pads suck and the OEM pads last the longest, second off make sure your rotor is not bent, and finally many people have had they foot brake pedals sieze of stick just make sure its moving freely and keep it lubed and you wont run through pads every 2 weeks like i used to.

I have to agree with the 250r calipers. I installed 250r brakes all the way around on my 426ex. It stops better I have better ground clearnce and the pads do seem to last me a wee bit longer. The only problem is to put them on the front of your bike you have to buy Baldwin Motorsports holders and they run $200. The rear you just need the rotor and the hub to install. You can buy them used on the web for around $75-$100. Costly yes, but muxh improves especially if youre a racer.:blah
