Swingarm Play??

I recently changed my chain on my 400ex. I was out riding today and noticed my swingarm has some play on the axle. Is this normal?

sounds like time for new carrier bearings, I had the same thing with mine, and bearings did the trick...

Yea carrier bearings aren't expensive. The hard part is installing them. Once you do it once, its easy the next time.

If the axle nut is good and tight and you have play between the axle the the swingarm carrier bearings then you should replace them before you have to buy a whole new carrier. 40 bucks to replace the bearings now or 200 for a new carrier.
