can the decompression clutch go bad?if so would that cause a ticking?

have u put in a new cam? have u checked the vavles?

the cam is a white bros woodsmen cam,it just started ticking,so i checked the valves and they were good .i looked at the rocker arms and there good too.they are a month old.

aftermarket cams r know for ticking. did it start when u put the cam in?

yeah, cams tick too. have you checked your vavles after installing the wb cam?

what compression dose it have? and what kind of gass r u running?

440 kit 12 to 1 compression,and i run turboblue race fuel.i think it is 110 octane.

My cousins 400ex tick comes in and out and it is driving me crazy. I checked the valves twice, cam chain and tensioner. what else could it be? It is forsure coming from the cam-chain side up top. He got a 440 kit and stage2 cam he is going to put in soon and we want to find what the tick is before we dive into it so we can take care of it.
