700 tranny

I just got my 700 raptor just before christmas. I was having trouble about 3 weeks ago with 5th gear. It felt like the chain was slipping a tooth. When i checked the chain was tight and sprockets were fine. I brought it in to Iron Mountain Powersports in Iron Mountain, MI where they told me my 5th and 3rd gear were shot and a shift fork was bent. THE DANG ATV IS ONLY 7 MONTHS OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone else have the problem?

my 01 raptor when though two 01
trannys until they upgraded it to
a 02/05 tranny no problems since

yeah i had the 01 rappy also and went through 2 trannys. I guess i should have known better but.. love yamaha... but luckily i bought the extra 4 year warranty with the new bike so i dont have to pay anything.:eek2:

06 rappy 700 with about 40 hours on it(hard hours). I just got back frommy dealer today and seen way more parts from the motor than i wanted, there still splitting it to get to the gears. 1st gear clunked like one tooth gone. will know more monday. Damn glad for warranty. while there in there and need to change the clutch disc are there better clutches than the stock rappy one. thanks
