This is what happens when a buddy leave his keys in an unattended 2002 Recon, I don't recomend it, it was a harsh landing. He was busy pissing around on my friends 300 and I wanted to see if I could get close to the air I was getting on my 400.

Recons are not the best for jumping but they are fun to jump.

Thanks for the cool comments. Its amazing what people will do when its not their quad. I would never have dreamed of doing that on my own Recon, but since it was my friends, ahh why not. The slow mo on the video showed how the tires, suspension and plastic handled when I landed. Of all the footage this whole summer I don't even think I've ever had that big of a take off on my 400. Now what would you of done if you had of wrecked it? Or for that matter did serious damage jumping that high? I'm glad when I leave my key in my Rancher that my friends don't try and jump that high with it. If they did they'd never be on it again.

I actually have a 99 recon same color and everything that has sat since the day I bought my 400, So I guess I would let anyone that has a duplicate of my exact machine do what ever as long as there was an understanding that they'd replace it with theirs..

It is an unwritten rule in our riding group, "You break it you buy it"
One guy spent $350 fixing another guys big bear, after bailing on a hill climb:eek:

Well I see since you got your 400 you just dont care about the Recon. Man I wish I had a 400 EX to go with my Rancher. I'm lucky just to have my Rancher.

You know.. I have a 98 recon that has set in the garage since I purchased my 400... Funny how these things happen... I don't have the heart to sell it... Comes in handy while hunting, fishing and camping.. Local riding just isn't the same without the 400..

I am also kind of spoiled.. I drive down my street and have access to hundreds of miles of desert..

My dad has a Recon, bought it a week after he bought mine.
Ive only jumped that sucker one time but only around a foot b/c I didnt wanna break it....you know how that goes, but it landed softer than my ex does. I like the throttle on it, its not sticky like mine and I can ride wheelies on it as good as I can on my ex....not to say my dad would approve of me goin back on it to far one day and scratching the rack up on it...lol.

Thats some wicked air man, I wouldnt dream of doin that...I would kill myself. :p
