Will 250r or 400ex shocks fit on my 300ex w/ my stock a-arms or will I need to get the a-arms too? What modifications have to be done for this. I searched and found that I will need a lowering kit to accomadate the 400ex shocks and a-arms, are there any other mods. What mods. are needed for the 250r shocks and a-arms?
Also what is a reasonable price for 400ex a-arms & shocks and 250r a-arms & shocks? Any advice will help.Thanks.

Oh and another question.....which aftermarket shocks are better for the 300ex?

unless all you do is flattrack or tt you cant use a lowering kit. they arent made to with stand the abuse of trail riding. i would get plus 2 arms for the 300ex with elka shocks. the plus 2 arms make a 300 .5 inches wider than a 400ex with the plus 1 arms, so its shouldnt be overly wide. call the quad shop and the can help you out.

What about rear shocks? I have seen on hear people are replacing the stock shock with a banshee front shock and a raptor shock(not for sure which one). Any mods. needed for this too? Which is better? Thanks.

Banshee front shocks wont fit on a Honda, upper mounts are different. We came up with the idea of putting the 01 Raptor shock on the rear of the 300ex. There are several threads talking about this.

I saw a post that said a Banshee front shock will fit on the rear of a 300ex...is this incorrect Jeff? Also I saw on a post where you mentioned using the raptor shock w/ a 400ex spring if you weigh under 200 lbs. Which is better the raptor shock or the banshee front shock on the rear of a 300? Thanks.

A Banshee front shock would be SCARRY on the rear of a 300ex!

look at my sig! raptor rear shock with 400ex spring. the raptor shock is set up for about a 160 lb rider on a 400 lb raptor. i wiegh 130 lbs. and and have about a 380 lb bike so the stock raptor shock was probably going to be a little stiff for me. marty put on a 400ex spring (softer i geuss) and works awesome. if you wiegh closer to 160 lbs the raptor spring will probably be ok.
