400ex stock heel guards with DG Nerfs wont fit !!

I just bought DG Steel Series nerfs and when I went to put the stock heel guards back on they wont fit !! Am I doing something wrong here?? Am I going to have to buy some other aftermarket heel guards now ??

leave the heel guards off ,thats what i did to my bike i got the DG alloy nerfs.

mine worked just had to do minor trimming on outside edge

mine are fat series
