Im buying a new set of rims and tires and have gotten prices for 3 different set ups.

$400.00 New ITP T-9 Pro Series Aluminum Wheels
H-D Holeshot Tires
Complete Set

$400.00 New ITP T-9 Pro Series Rims
Holeshot GNCC Tires
Complete Set

$440.00 New ITP C-Series Pro Series Aluminum Wheels
Holeshot XCR Tires
Complete Set

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I ride mostly trails but want a tire and rim combo that gives me the best overall performance for all type of terrain.

the downfall to the c-series is it is cast, not rolled. the cast aluminium is more likely to break instead of bend upon impact. they are great for general trails, but if you are agressive i would stay away from them.

ya i do ride pretty hard. im in the process of setting up a small MX track at my barn so i want some rims that can handle some jumps.

ill stay away from the c-series but do the t9 pro-series hold up pretty good

If you ride trails with rocks, I would advise against the C series.

either the bajas or get douglas .190 thick ones I had itp t9 and because they don't have the rolled lip it bent in the first race I wasn't impressed. the itp xc's are good tires the rzr2's look like they'de last forever though.

actually the T-9 do have a rolled bead, the douglas .190's do not. douglas whees bend very easily, the ITP t-9's seem to be a great wheel comparatively.

I have the T-9's with HD's . I love the tires, the rims, well, they were convenient. I have bent two of them in the past 5 months but they are a good bargain and look great. I'm saving dimes for Hipers

the HDs are awesome tires but they are heavy if u race. i have them on the t-9s and ive bent the rear rims in a few times.
Underpowered- only the new t9s have a rolled lip, not the ones that most of us probley have.

from what i have seen the douglas wheels hold up better than itps. i would not run itps if it was me. however, none of them without the rolled edge are worth a crap in my opinion. i know the cheapest ones with a rolled edge from douglas are still expensive. i think they are over $100 per wheel....in all honesty the stock wheels are fairly strong. they definatly are not as thick as my douglas ultimates and are lighter as well. however, i would run the stock wheels over any douglas or itp wheels that do not have a rolled edge. i think itp makes two sets of t-9's. ones with a rolled edge and one without. i dont' think i would get aftermarket ones unless you need beadlocks or something similar...
