Im buying a new set of rims and tires and have gotten prices for 3 different set ups.

$400.00 New ITP T-9 Pro Series Aluminum Wheels
H-D Holeshot Tires
Complete Set

$400.00 New ITP T-9 Pro Series Rims
Holeshot GNCC Tires
Complete Set

$440.00 New ITP C-Series Pro Series Aluminum Wheels
Holeshot XCR Tires
Complete Set

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I ride mostly trails but want a tire and rim combo that gives me the best overall performance for all type of terrain.

get the first one. I have heard about a lot of people ripping out the sidewalls on the gncc's. The hd's are a little heavy but they hook up awesome and are good for all types of terrain.

the c-series is made more for the desert...they have a stamp on them that say not for competition use. to me, that means weaker adn less durable. if you ride the trails hard, then i wouldn't want something like that...

thanks for the replies. i was leaning toward the HD's but was a little skeptical because of the weight, but if thats the price u got to pay for solid tires than im fine with it.

i thought the xcr's where the best because of the price but i need a solid rim to go with the tires. How do the ITP T-9 Pro Series Rims holdup?

Get HD's on the back and GNCC's up front, great woods combo. The c-series rims should be fine. Some of the people that race xc with me run them. The HD is heavy but not so much that you will notice. I have them on my shee and getting them for my 450.

i would go with the razr2's but i cant find a good deal on them. my cousin got them on his 250r and they cost him over $500. they are really nice but just not in my budget.

i think im going to try and get the HD's with hopefully the T9 baja's but if not ill just go with the the regular T9 pro series.

does anyone know what rim costs more?

Baja's cost more but they are a stronger rim.

The bajas are about $40-$50 more a piece. the black ones are about $65 more a piece. This is out of motosport.

JMO but get the Maxxis2 mounted on your stock rims. And swap them later.I'm in NY and I don't think you can buy a better tire and I race rocky XC courses.

get the bajas if you can i have the t-9s and i would rather have stock wheels than them also stay awat from gncc rears...the sidewalls DO tear easy

ya i would go with the Maxxis2 but they seem to be out of my price range.

im 90% sure im going with the Baja rims and the Holeshot HD's. Im going to be getting them for $330 shipped but this is only the rears.

i plan on waiting to find a good deal on some stock rims and tires because the whole package of bajas and HD's would cost me over $600.

I would stay away from ITP wheels. They are pretty weak. I would go with something like OMF or Douglas. Or even stock wheels will last longer than ITP wheels.

Made for the desert?? You might mean the dunes ...The desert eats tires and rims just like the woods .

I agree with rob-u/21 ITP wheels are not known for their strength. IMO, Maxxis iRazors are an awsome XC tire you see alot of pros using them. I went to Bill Balance's track in Bowling Green and that is what he was running. You can get the whole set of iRazors mounted on douglas .190's from Golden West for $430.99 plus tax and Shipping. :)
