who has a moose racing bar clamp

My dad got the moose racing bar clamp that relocates all the lights and the key. when we installed it the system pinched the wire onto the steering stem and shorted out the fuse. HE had to take the key and zip tie it to the plastics for the ride we were on. He wants to get risers to make the clamp sit highger off the stem but won't that make the clutch and brake cables too short. is there another alternative, pics would be awsome.

Hey i don't have any pics cuz im at school but a sweet look to move stuff around is make a piece of diamond plate to go where your lights use to be and just bolt it down with the bar clamps then run your light wires on top off your gas tank put under the plastic and drill three holes right in front of the seat on the plastic and plug the lights in...simple as that.Then i put my key on the left hand side
