I need to build a quad to race with. Im thinking of 2 a z400/250r hybrid or a 300ex/350x hybrid. The 350x will have a mildly moded race motor and the 400 will be stock motor. the 350x will have race suspension and the 400 will have close to stock suspension untill I can afford nicer suspension.

Go with the Z400/250r hybird. Its more up-to-date and probably will handle a lot better then the 300ex/350x.

i'd re-think that idea, not to be mean, but the quadracer's frame is not capable of handleing a 350x, let alone a ltz400 motor. Your best bet is to part out the quadracer, get what you can for it, then use that money as a starting point. There are enough people out there parting out 250r's that you will be able to get some really good prices on stuff, just look around.

Bah. For about $4,500 you can find a nice 450r with some mods now-a-day. Part out both the 300ex and Quadracer, then see how much cash you have. For $3,500 you can get a nice mx ready 400ex. Its much more expensive to build something from the ground up also.

Well not everybody lives at home with mommy and daddy. Some people have a wife and kids and mouths to feed.So just dropping major coin on a toy isnt always a wise option. When you kiddies grow up you'll soon realize this too.;) Go ahead with your hybrid, have fun and you'll learn a lot along the way too.;)
