front or rear? rear, will lower top speed a bit and add more acelleration, front, bigger front will higher top speed, but steal accell.

going up a few teeth in the rear is like dropping 1 tooth in the front i was told....

so if you dont want a new chain, drop 1 or 2 teeth on the front sprocket, its better to have more torque on the hills

going up 2-3 teeth in the rear is about the same as dropping a tooth up front. i stock is a 38, how much bigger you go depends on how much you want to lower your gearing. i went up 1 tooth on mine just for a little extra umph, but most people would hardly notice i tooth in the rear.

and a JE 416 10.8:1 is his bore. a JE brand piston, 416 cc displacement (87mm piston) and 10.8:1 is his compression ratio.

pick your self up a one tooth down sprocket for the front (if you want torque) and save yourself a bunch of cash. front sprockets are way cheaper than rears.

I think you should be able to get the chain off just by removing the front sprocket (two bolts on the cage and another two on the sprocket itself) and then pulling it over the tire. Just make sure you put the sprocket back on the same way that it came off.

Otherwise you have to get a chain breaker and break it.
I'll send you a PM with some info.

I dont think you can do that...It goes around the swingarm pivot bolt or something like that. Im pretty sure you have to break it...
