Master Cylinder Help

Well my dad wanted to take off the lid off of the master cylinder and he stripped one of the screws and now we cant get it off. Is there a way to fix this or do I have to buy a new master cylinder?

happend to me before i just drilled the top of the screw untill it would just slide through the hole and then theres a little bit sticking up once you have the cap removed then i just took it out with vicegrips and found a new screw. you shouldnt need a new master cyclinder
