I recently bought a 2002 400 ex bored to 416, with a 10:1 piston, uni filter, and the choke has been removed. It is overheating very quickly, even just starting it up. Also, the top end makes an odd ticking noise during warmup, but it goes away after that. Im running 93 octane fuel, so I know that it's not detonating, and I'm wondering if i could need a valve adjustment? Please help me out with some jetting suggestions, or just tips for a needle/air screw adjustment. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
ps. Is there any way to remove the sparkplug with out the stupid plug wrech in the kit, because i lost it.

for the plug you just need a thin walled 18mm socket.
