my friends got a 2002 400ex bored out to a 699 and he wants to race, is it race legal?

i didnt even know you could get a 400ex that big but, yup, it is legal, almost all district races are "run what you brung" and broken up by skill level or age only.

at the nat's, he can run open class or age class,

ACTUALLY, almost all districts run open classes for bikes like that. To bad you cant bore a 400ex that big anyway

Alot of kids think that getting an 0.80 bore is like adding 80cc's, so im guessing this kid got some sort of a big bore and think's that he bored it out to a 700 somehow.. Witch is totaaly impossible. Im guessing at max its a 460 MAYBE....

ACTAULLY, almost all of the districts run a Quad A, B, C, vet, senior, youth 50 and youth 90 config, district 23 is one of the few examples that does not, but i can give examples of 3, 5, 7, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 22 that all run the format i had said

largest bore/stroke combo i've heard of is 517cc, somthing like a 92mm piston and 78mm stroke if i'm not mistaken. so your friend with his "699EX"will be in his own class. the one where you never take your helmet off ya know?:p

also neatv, also wpsa, also the nationals...they all run quad a,b,c and OPEN a,b,c...















and before you try to make a point, learn how to spell all words put in caps.

boy, you are out there, maybe you should go re-read my original post where i said DISTRICT, NOT WSPA, GNC, NEATV but DISTRICT....

so before you correct someone, know what you are talking about

neatv is basically a district series but we've grown so much we have a lot more then most
