rear brakes

hello i just got a 2003 400 ex and was wandering if i have to replace the rear claiper if it is leaking from the little piece inside parking brake housing or if i could just get a block off plate will that fix it thanks

i think i would try the parking brake block off before i went out and baught a calliper becuse the block off is like 15 dollars and a calliper is probally like 100 dollars.

You shouldn't be leaking from that point. If you are, you have an internal seal gone. That cover is just a dust seal, no fluid should be behind there, it should be dry as a bone behind there.

Just buy a rebuild kit. They are pretty cheap and easy to do.
