The 2006 WPSA series finishes out the season with a double header at the well known Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ. Much of New Jersey is covered with a sandy type dirt as many noticed this weekend. The berms quick developed and only gained height as the day went on.

The WPSA series has brought great attention to our sport with their televised segments airing on ESPN 2. Although the show is based on the Pro class, the WPSA series attracts many amateur racers from young to older (saving myself) to race on the same track as their favorite pro riders.

As many of you know, Jeremiah Jones was seriously injured in another series recently. Many have found their own personal way of showing their support for JJ.

Raceway Park is a heaven for any motorhead. With a drag strip, airport, paved road course, go-cart track, two motocross tracks, and who knows what else...there is usually something going on to satisfy anyones needs. This weekend, many took time inbetween motos to watch cars race down the strip as well as drivers try their skills on a road course.

John Natalie rolled into another event, just a few weeks after his sidelining injury. This weekend John would be getting back on his quad to get back in the mix. He surely was himself as he spent much of the weekend wishing amateur riders the best of luck as well as letting them in on a few secrets.

The WPSA crew added yet another event to the fun filled weekend. Making the trip from California, the Rhinocraft team brought out a few custom Rhinos to compete on the same motocross track that the pros would be riding.

This Monster Engery sponsored rhino gained much attention throughout the weekend.

The production lite class is made up of riders between the ages of 13 and 15. The 300ex has been the dominant quad in this class with just a few riders on the Yamaha blaster.

Quinton Barto is one of few riders who have chosen the blaster as their weapon. Barto pushed himself hard and put himself in the last spot of the podium.

Scott Meizinger, a local Jersey rider, tried his hand against some of the faster production lite riders in the country. Scott put himself in the final with a 9-13 moto finishes. In the final he was able to pull together and round out the top ten.

Jay Corey mad the trip from Indina to compete against most of the Local field. With top 5 moto finishes, Jay ensured himself a spot in the final. Although having some difficulties, he never quit and put in hard laps till the checkers flew while in 11th place.

Richard Lindsay not only took the win in the final race of the season, but took the win in the points race as well. The ATCO, NJ rider's hard work paid off.

The plus 35 class sure rocked the track and showed the younger riders they still have what it takes to compete on a national level. Jeffrey Thompson and Thomas Lewicki battled hard in the final moto in a dash to take the win. Lewicki had the position on Thompson, but the Lost Creek Suzuki Rider (Thompson) was able to sneak around and score a win.

Chris Novotny of Stone Ridge, NY battled hard with banshee rider Dennis Ray of New Jersey. Novotny was able to ride his Honda 450r to a 5th place postion, edging out Ray.

Dane Heilman had a perfect weekend as he scored up two moto wins as well as taking the win in the final on sunday.

Lou Russo, ATVRiders.com Member, brought out his sick CRF to compete in the Open Amateur class. Lou set himself into Sunday's final moto with two solid 11th place finishes.

Lost Creek Rider, James Miller, rode to two 7th place finishes on saturday. In Sunday's final moto, Miller locked in a 9th place finish

Andy Zimmerman, sick whippy's rider, had some trouble during Saturday's motos, but was able to repair his quad and compete in Sunday's final. Andy took his DNF-5 and turned it into an 8th place finish on Sunday.

Josh Helder (88x), Sick Whippy's Rider, earned himself a top 5 finish aboard his East Coast ATV YFZ. Josh went 2-3 during Saturday's qualifying motos

During Saturday's moto, Pine Grove, PA resisdent Kale Whitmore pulled the holeshot only to be taken to the rear of the pack by a slight mishap.

Michael Shipley headed north from South Carolina to compete this weekend aboard his #91 machine. Shipley fell just outside of the top 10 in 12th place.

Jason Gaudest was a consistent top 5 rider this weekend. A 4th place finish in the final moto fell just short of the podium.

Sean Fogarty made the trip from New York and ran hard Saturday to seat himself in the final (5-9). In the final, Sean scored a 15th place finish

The A-Class offered some of the best racing all weekend. Riders battled and swapped positions all weekend long.

Thomas Brown made the hike from Texas to run compete this wekeend. Saturday, Brown earned two consistent 2nd place finishes. The final moto on sunday, Brown finished 8th in one of the fastest classes of the weekend. With this finish, Brown finished out the series 3rd in Points

Nate Morello's two top five finishes on Saturday ensured him a spot in the final. When push came to shove, Nate came out on top. A win put him in 4th place for the year.

Ohio resident, Ryan Wheeler rode his Kymco sponsored quad to a 6th place finish. Ryan's consistency earned him a second place finish at the end of the season in the points race.

The 0-90 mod is the fastest youth class on the track. These young riders are hitting all the same jumps aboard their mini custom built machines. Joel Hetrick made his first WPSA race. Joel rode hard, but mechanical problems caused him round out the field.

David Neverotski made the short trip from Philadelphia, PA to Englishtown this weekend. He finished out the weekend with a 4th place finish and a matching 4th place finish in points.
