Hey Kenny,
Have you tested the heat shields after powder coating them ? My buddy that is pc'ing mine says he thinks that it will eventually turn brown from the heat. He says he did an exhaust tip that turned color in about a weeks time. Just wondering...

Pappy
08-28-2002, 01:21 PM
well...i took temp reading on my sheild before and it registered 170 degrees after a long ride. the pc is stable to like 300 degrees so it should be fine. the tip on your freinds exhaust turned brown most likely from the carbon in the exhaust fumes and the other spent gases.

Hey how do u powder coat the shift lever with out melting the rubber? Also do you have any pics of your oven? I was thinking about making on because using a heater to cure large parts takes along time. It took me like 6-7 hours to do my frame, i was up all night.
