Might be pulling the trigger on a 06...

With all the good deals and such going on the dealer by me is tring to get me to buy a 06 yfz for 5600 new. I want one and might do it. What do I need to know about these quads? Known problems? What are the best mods to do right away? Thanks guys...
I also do alot of trail riding, so anything to make it more trail friendly?

there great bikes i got an 06 a few months ago but right away i had a little electrical issue but i had it fixed it was realy rare so it shouldnt be a problem. but right away i put a pipe,airfilter and jetted it. then go crazy from there i guess with want you would like to put on it. you will love it though.

you forgot the cam mod its really cheap and will give you some extra ponies its really worth it IMO

Cam mod? Anything else? Im moastly a fast woods/trail rider with the trip to the track once in a while...

well are you looking to fulling rebuild the bike for racing?

I want to try a few harescrambles ect ect . I mostly ride woods/fast trails and with the trip to the mx track once in a while.

i think you should do the cam mod,pipe (rossier)JMO,air filter(k&N)JMO,and jetted and you should be ok
as for rebuilding your shocks you should go with derisi the best in service

Cool thanks guys. I was looking into the nmotion and LRD pipes, but I will look into the rossier also. Now with the filter, do I need the adaptor plate for the filter? I was at the dealer and the gyt-r filter, adaptor and outerwear were like 120- thats alot for a filter! Is there any jet kit in perticular I should look into? Thanks again!
