Engine Trouble...Help

I have an 03 Suzuki z400 and when it runs in neutral it makes a "click,click" type of noise every 5 to 10 seconds give or take, im convinced it may be my valves or cam chain but im not too sure....can anyone help me know what this problem is?

I may be wrong about this. But, if it is doing it sparatically every 5 to 10 seconds, wouldn't it be the timing chain. Seems like to me, the valves would "click" on every stroke and make a steady paced noise.:confused:

I would check the timing chain... they do that sparatically when they get stretched then when they are really going bead they do it all the time... thats were i would start and then check back if that isnt it
