sup guys i just put new rings in my 330 and now my jetting is all ****ed up.

anyway here we go

air box eliminator
b8es
paul turner race pipe with fatboy silencer
v-force reeds
330 trinity stage 4
trinity port
39 AS
32:1 klotz and 110 race gas
880ft
DDJ needle
and i got a 52 pilot jet in there.....

just need to know about the close jet i need for the main

i got a 155 160 172 185 i think those are the jets i got and this thing doesn't like to run unless its throttle is Wide open. But even then it just putts i really have no idea what the hell is goin on here.. i clean ed the carb out the other day thinkin it might be dirty but i got so frustrated i haevn't even went out and tried

anyway i friend of mine was tellin me to go ahead and try an 190 cause thats what he used to run in his.....

Anyway let me know guys if you need anymore information about my set up

question why would your jetting change because you did a re-ring did you do a leak down test? sound like you may have a leak

airstriker's are 38mm, not 39 unless you had it bored. nevertheless....you should have a 55 pilot for starters, the ddj is the stock needle, which could be tweeked to a dgh instead, and you'll need a minimum of a 175 main, most likely alot taller. You haven't said what mj's in there now??? The 38a/s likes the 55/dgh combo but you'll have to aquire the mj by hard work. My 265 uses the 175 and it's spot on. That 330's gonna need some fuel.

Why are you starting with the main jet when you are having problems with the lowend and midrange too?

The info below is from another post that I made:

(1) Check your intake boot for leaks!
(2) Check for cylinder leaks since head has been shaved.
(3) Are the reeds in good condition?
(4) How does your plug look?
(5) If your carb is pissing fuel the float is not set correctly.

Many people say this:
air screw - idle to 1/16 throttle
pilot - 1/16 to 1/4 throttle
needle - 1/4 to 3/4 throttle
main - 3/4 to WOT
BUT the range of the jets actually overlap.

Air screw - off idle to about 1/4 throttle
The air screw meters air to the pilot jet

pilot - 1/8 to 1/2 throttle (changes to pilot affect the needle and main jet settings since it adds adds fuel during the midrange and topend)

needle - 1/8 to 3/4 throttle
an actual needle change will affect 1/8 to 3/4 throttle
clip changes afffect 1/4 to 3/4 throttle

main - 1/2 to full throttle

------------------------------------------------------

If the carb is pissing fuel you will need to set the float level before doing anything else.

Is the wiring harness grounded properly?

Start fat (rich) and then move backwards. If you start with a lean setup you will be buying new parts soon. DOn't go too rich because that will causing cylinder washing.

Set the air screw for your elevation
pilot - 55
current needle - w/ clip second from the top
main - 180

Is a decent starting point so do plug chops to adjust the jet sizes properly.

Ignore the "shaved head" comment because I did a copy and past.
