handle bars...im confused need help

aight ive bought aftermarket bars b4 but ther just the plain ol regular cross bar type thing...want i want to no is what will be the main difference between regular bars and fat bars?
is ther any andvantages to the fat bars with no crossbar or wat?
i was lookin at the protaper contour bars and oversized bar mounts...anyone have em are they pretty nice?

I have them on mine and I like them alot. They are at a great price to. I'm not sure what all the advantages are, but I'm pretty sure they are alot stronger than the standard 7/8" crossbar bars. But the contour's are REALLY strong. You will most likely bend your steering stem before your handlebars. I did that on mine, and a buddy of mine did it on his YFZ.

Taperd wall fat bars are supposed to have more flex, and vibration absorbing capabilities than the rigid cross bar renthal style bars. The are suppoed to help reduce fatigue to an extent. They are also very strong, but so are the renthal cross bar style.
