Hey i'm lookin for a new air compressor. I dont need anything huge, just somthing for working on the quad/airing up tires. I would like to be able to use impact tools with it, for "Every once in awhile" uses. I would like to stay within the $200-$250 range.

LMAO:p
I would get a Craftsman... they make good air compresiors.
Here is the one I have (http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?cat=Compressors+%26+Air+Tools&pid=00916734000&vertical=TOOL&subcat=Air+Compressors+%26+Inflators&BV_UseBVCookie=Yes)

Campbell Hausfeld is the best bang for your buck. The compressors are durable and proven, but their tools consume WAY to much air.

Always keep in mind the CFM when buying tools/compressors. If you get an underpowered compressor you won't be a happy camper.

I would buy at sears over harbor freight just for a local warranty. As long as you get at least a 5 horse electric it will run almost anything a shop needs.

Might not be the best compressor ever but, at Home Depot here in Indiana they offer a "Husky" its like 25 gallon 5 HP stand up style. It came with paint gun, impact gun, impact wrench, and a nice set of air guages and things. Got it on Sale for $250.00 plus the 30ft hose...I thought it was worht the price, even though it may not be the best out there. But for what i do (minimal, quad work with it) It has worked great. Just my 2cents

yeah definately go with an oil lubricated, too. i went through an oil-less compressor in about 3 weeks.

the one i got's a 20 or 30 gal cast iron twin piston belt drive. i paid about $600. Worth every penny, though.

it's like 5hp? and the only set back is if you live in an old house, or you have a weak breaker, it will trip the circuit alot due to excessive power draw when it starts.
