i was thinking about getting a set of hyper rims when i buy my new bike. i want to make my next bike as light as possible.

how much do thease rims wiegh compared to stock aluminum rims.
how much weight do they save.
how much does a set cost.
do they come in sets of 2 or 4

They are really light. They might coat you around 900 for all 4 new but they wont break so you dont have to buy new rims every season. Look for a used set in the 4 sale section.

actually, they weigh about the same as stock rims. they are lighter than conventional beadlocks, but not non-beadlock stockers. they will cost you around $775 for single beadlock fronts and dual beadlock rears.

the real savings in them is that last and if any parts ever break, they can be replaced. no wif you are racing where a beadlock is a must, then these are lighter and will save you weight that way. if you are just trying to build a light as possible trail or dune machine, then they may not be as necessary

Where are you two getting your prices from? I'm gonna be looking to buy some HiPers soon I hope. I had them on my YFZ and loved them.

Here's a thread I found that might help you when you shop around for the cheapest price.
