well this past weekend i was racing my stock motor 300ex and i did good in the mud (3rd place, open c). i have a 86 quadracer but im most likly goin to sell it. i like my 300ex alot but it dosnt have the power i want. if i sell the quadracer i will have the $ from it to do with it want i want. im not shure to put a down payment on a new quad or put it in my 300ex. i like the 350x motor convertions but i think it would be esayer to build up the ex motor. or should i buy a new quad. i have put alot of $ in my 300ex and it has all suspension that i need for racing if i buy a 400ex or a z400 or maybe a 450 im goin to be starting from stock. im not to shure what to do.

Sell the quadracer and the 300ex and buy a fully tricked out used 400ex w/ cash to spare. ;)

if i sell my 300ex i will have to pay off the amount left on it from when it was financed. thats y im considering diffent options. if i didnt owe anything on it i would sell it and get a 400ex or 450r.

You can make a 300 run pretty good with only a small investment.A $200 330 kit,a cam and a good exhaust and 400ex or a fcr carb if you can find one cheap will probably give you an extra 10hp or so for only a few hundred dollars.Theres even more potential with some headwork but its not mandatory right away regardless of what you read.;) A rev box will help if your a screamer,i have my rev limiter removed completely but i dont use much rpm anyway;)

I think Im goin to put a 350x motor in it and have extra cash to put in to the motor.

I agree with bwamos, and use the cash to spare and put it to your 300ex payments.

I'd build the 300 if it was me...

Who wants to go back to kickstarting their quad?..LOL.

i truly dont care i have to kick start my quad or not. i rather kick it and now its goin to start and in stead of having the extra whieght of a battery and starter motor.

with the 350x motor can i use a 400ex head pipe and clear the down tube of the frame. i will get a full 400ex pipe if i can i know some aftermarket ones are close to the motor and they wont work.

Nope.. too close. Have to extend the header, and dent the pipe where the kickstart goes.

You could just get the Powroll header, and put an HMF Slipon on it.

i have a pro circuit t4 slip on will that work. im considering building something differnt now but im still tinking the 300ex is my best bet.
