ok guys i really need your help.i have a 300ex bored 80 over,ported and polished,wb cam,yoshiexhaust and a 38mm keihn pe carb.the carb instructions said it was jetted for a stock bike but it came with a 160 main and a 50 pilot.i tryed a couple sizes and still cant get it right.ive tryed 130-140 and i have the 160 back in in now.can neone help me with the jetting?

What do you mean its not right?How does it run at idle or part throttle?What about in the midrange or up top?You have been changing the main jets,those only affect the power at 3/4 to wide open.If your bike is running poorly at part throttle,changing the main jet wont help you.I would look for some literature on the subject or get somebody to help you that knows what they are doing.good luck;)

ive changed the mains and pilot it has a 40 pilot in it right now and a 160 jet.I was hoping someone else has had experience with the 38mm carb.maybe ill put the 50 pilot back in and try that. what it is doing is stumbling at about a1/3 throttle and seems to be bogging on the top.im gonna tear it down readjust the vlaves and tweak with the carb this week and see wat happens.thanks for the input

ok figured it out bike was way too lean
