im trying to change my oil filter, and i have no idea where it goes? can anyone post a pic of where it goes?

does the filter go in before the oil? right?

Look under the exhaust heat guard thing, there is a little circle plate thing with 2 bolts holding it in, drain the oil, then open that, the filter is in there. Make sure all the oil is drained, warm your bike up for about a minute or so then drain.

There are 3 bolts on the 300ex.

If you do not pay attention and put filter in backwards you will restrict oil flow damaging the engine, Filter is clearly labled, and it's held by 3 8mm bolts right next to the dipstick.

well what do think would happen if u filled it up then took out the oil filter.

the little bit of oil that is in the filter part will drain out and nothing will happen after that. unless you try to start it or something stupid.
