Hell,, why didn't think ofthat??!!?? lol, yea, tried that, i only weight 150 pounds,, and don't do 50 foot jumps,, so i really don't need them as stiff as they were,,

Why dont you just get the yfz shocks revalved for your weight ? Banshee shocks are horrable compaired to the YFZ shocks.

getting them redone would cost as much as a new pair of fox,,, these were free,

how did the shocks make it wider and shorter?

tye101

not sure on the wider,, it made it shorter because more give to the shocks,, has more sag

wow..............some people are just weird.

the yfz shocks are alot better then stock banshee shocks, and it made it shorter because the banshee shocks arent as long as the yfz shocks.

look, i know what i am doing,, i tried adjusting it,, both top and bottom, and the spring,, it is still to rough for my taste,, i can't afford elka, or pep shocks,, so i had to find a cheap way to get softer,, and FYI, i am 24,, not really a kid!

Are you joking? Getting stockers rebuilt is like around 500 for both. FOX's are around 1300.

if anything i would say you are hurting the handling of the bike. since the shocks are so soft, when you hit turns really hard they tend to wash the front end out and you cant handle it as well. thats from my experience any way.

might be good for you but i wouldnt do it. i have the screws all the way up and the 2 different adjustments set to all the way soft and they are perfect for me until i get them rebuilt. if i am sitting on the bike it has quite a bit of sag yet still perform well. get a giant prm summit bumper to weigh the front end down. there are more options to solve the problem i think. to each his own.

The 06 yfz shocks are softer then the 04-05's. Maybe try finding a set of them.
