View Full Version : Yamaha Blaster Jetting Help

I Got a blaster today just for me to mess around with but it needs to be jetted, If anyone is running the same setup please let me know what jetting you are running, needle clip, and air/fuel screw turns out...

2000 Yamaha Blaster
K&N Air Filter
DG Full Exhaust System

airlid is off, right now it has a problem idling

You need to see if it is rich or lean first. Put a new plug in it, then run it. If the plug is black it is rich (to much fuel), if it is white it is lean (to much air). If it is lean put a bigger jet in it, if it is rich go smaller. When it is right the plug should be tan.

it has 250 main jet, airbox lid on plug is black

sure you dont have a 350 main? a 250 would be real lean, making the plug white, not black.

go to a 310 main and see what happens

i have a 250 jet in my quad and its pritty fat... the plug is more of a brown everytime i check it...

i took the airbox lid off and its definately a lot less brown

did it get darker or lighter?
