ok i am confused on the pilot screw and the air/fuel screw. i have a 42 pilot screw and i turned it in the whole way. But my air/fuel is turned out 2. Are you suposed the turn out the pilot screw too?

Yes, you are confused. The "pilot screw" and the "air/fuel screw" are the same thing. Actually, a carb either has an air screw or a fuel screw--they are different versions of the same basic device.

Well dont confuse this with your pilot jet, which definitely needs to be screwed in until firmly seated.

yea that is all i needed to know if the pilot screw is to be seated firmly Thanks!

what you're calling a 42 pilot screw is a 42 pilot JET. And yes, it needs to be screwed in all the way.
