i have a 04 450r with a +1 steering stem.my steering is hard to turn.my freinds 450r is stock, and it's easier to turn left/right.i just got new a-arms and ball joints, but the issue was before the arms.
i even installed a washer inbetween the 1 side of the clamp, like i read in a post back when.any-one have any sugguestions
o yeah, and when i loosen the clamp bolts slightly it's better.could it be the busching

ive heard a few others complain, but we have had zero issues with our burgards, infact the steering was actually lighter then with the stock bushing.

did you grease up the bearing in the frame? mine was pretty dry the other day.

did you get lube UNDER that plastic bushing on the stem? lube her up good. :blah:

is the stem bent by chance? tie rods bent? brake and clutch cables getting in the way?

i had the same problem on my blaster. ends up i had eyeballed the toe in the last time i did it and i had too much toe out. caused the steering to be real stiff

we are running hermans a arms and the king pin bearings are very stiff when you are breking them inare you running king pin style ball joints? if so ride it a lot they will work great and you will not need a stearing dampener.

well i disconnected the inner tye rod ends and the sterring was very easy.so i think it may have to do with the stem where the tye rods mount to the stem, and pappy said.
