ok so today i get to school (first day) and instead of lunch cards this year...they usin our fingerprints...they called us all out and fingerprinted us during class. my question is is this right? i mean now they have all our fingerprints and without ours or our parents consent on it. im just a wee bit pissed and want you alls input on it

xtremefullbore
08-17-2006, 05:29 PM
it is going to be that way in alot of schools this year... because 76% of crime last year was done by kids 18 yrs and under.. but Im not to happy bout it, the fun days seem to be over now...:chinese:

Pappy

sounds fishy

xtremefullbore
08-17-2006, 05:47 PM
no, it was on the local news on channel 5 that all the local schools in Missouri are having fingerprints takin and thats how u get school lunch because 76% of crimes this past year were commited by kids 18 and under.. and the school sends all fingerprints and a picture to the local police station... :ermm: im not gunna lie it kinda blows...

Pappy
08-17-2006, 05:49 PM
im not doubting you, but in some states i am almost positive the practice of fingerprinting minors without parental consent is illegal.

xtremefullbore
08-17-2006, 05:55 PM
i thought it was illegal also but Im guessing not and for some reason the school I go to is really bein stupid bout all this stuff.. we cant do handshakes anymore, we cant wear jeans that have more then 6 pockets, and our school now has the drug dog there every other day... sounds pretty stupid to me...

Rico400
08-17-2006, 07:03 PM
handshakes? thats pretty lame if you can go up to ur buddy and give him a handshake.

but man to have more than 6 pockets its probably cuz they dont want you dressing bad.

and the dog thing, who cares if they do. If u dont got drugs then u dont got nothing to hide.

There's one thing I don't agree with, and that is people complaining about 'invasion of privacy'. I could care less if they tapped my phone lines, searched me every day at work, etc. The people complaining about it especially at the airports really get on my nerves. I can sum it all up in 5 words, and I would hope most people could too:

I have nothing to hide.

exacly, but idk about you guys but if they start doing fingerprints at my school im screewed cuz i bight my fingers and peel the skin of them, and my finger prints change all the time, i know it sounds wierd, but i cant stop

xtremefullbore
08-17-2006, 08:55 PM
fingerprints dont change till u cut ur fingers off... and about the handshake thing I said... they dont allow any type of special handshakes because they think you are passing drugs around when you do it... Im gettin real fed up with the drug dog and the constant complaing by teachers... I dont smoke or do drugs so I dont gotta worry bout it but when the drug dog comes we get called to our locker so the dog can sniff us too... and it can smell pot on ur clothes even if you smoked it last night... it has extremely good smelling senses... but its gettin old...reallllllll old...:scary:

That may very well be true. But, if they understood that we are at war, then that might change things. When we have terrorists who can pass as normal citizens, I would give up anything to make sure they get caught, rather than get in the governments way. But other than that, I see no right in them doing that.

08-18-2006, 06:38 PM
yea, at my highschool they had many gang realted incidents last year...now we cant wear red or blue shirts, no hats or bandanas..no special handshakes...they did not fingerprint us, bu they did say that after the 1st six weeks if the kids are still breaking the dress code that we will have to wear uniforms....and they have adrug/bomb dog there everyday at every entrance...they have installed cameras in ever class room and in all the hallways....it sucks so much....i dont do anything illegal...but bb/c of the cameras i cant even give my girlfriend a kiss before class...im so pissed....so now we have to sneak around and do it behind corners and chit....also, we cant wear any pants that hang below our waist line, no goth pants (thank god...im tired of stepping on the straps).....there is so much that changed from last year to this year.....and about the red and blue thing...we had 3 gangs, the cripps, the bludz, and "most wanted"...im not amking any of this up...they brought guns to school and everything...i was so fu**ing scared....me and my girlfriend left school and drove around until after they all got arrested....:eek2:

i think it is invasion of privacy....they have no right to have your fingure print on file for no reason, its pure BS...this is seriously starting to get out of hand...i just graduated last year and during my senior year and junior year they put cameras in the parking lot, hallways and classrooms and it just makes me sick...i was always raise in a sort of old fasion way, i was spanked if i was bad, i would ride my bikes all through town, i got into fights, i caught frogs, snakes....now days alot of kids are just whimpy...the guys are wearing skirts, make up, there are homo sexuals everywhere, girls are kissing girls and guys are kissing guys, and now if a kid wants to go to school they have to have their fingure prints taken?? BULL****!!!...this world is going into the ****ter.....FAST

wow sounds nuts..... back in HS they had security cameras in every crevis and hallway, they had police routinely inspecting the place....ALWAYS drugbusts on a weekly basis (bahahah), and a couple were arrested suspicion of mass killings...

too many wingnuts out there. the tight security is probably neccessary...

even though i dont like invasion of privacy.

That been building up for awhile? To the_440_kid, why did you have to kiss your girlfriend before every class? Personally, that annoys the hell out of me when I see couples kissing in the halls. Why can't they just wait until after school instead of making a porn in the halls?

This kind of crap is what happens when you have State sponsored schools! This is the kind of stuff that Karl Marx dreamed up to control the public so that they could implement communism! DON'T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT go get some books at Borders and read about it yourselves!

After you get done reading you need to share the info with your parents and friends. After everyone is informed maybe they will get off their butts and do something about this.

YOU WILL NOT BE TAUGHT ABOUT THIS IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS!If they teach you this stuff you would not go along with their crap.

As far as everyone being searched, the fix is simple. Turn in the idiots that do all the things they are searching for! That is the only way that you can get back your freedom and rights.

P.S. From reading some of these posts it seems that a lot of you aren't getting any education at school. I'm not even sure what language some of you are speaking!

High school wasnt that bad here in TN when i graduated in 2004, but since then they have gone to uniforms and gotten a lot stricter... its not near as bad as the way yall talk about them, but im with outlaw 50, it seems so Marxish, I have been to 2 post communist countries (Romania, Czech Republic) and people STILL walk with their heads down, dont make eye contact, people do NOT speak at all on public transportation or anything like that... i mean they were so oppressed they couldnt even talk on the daggum subway?? A lot of the Government Facilities, (airports, subways, etc) are still incredibly strict (no pictures, no like having fun, nothing that is out of the ordinary)... and it just seems like with fingerprinting and monitoring like this its headed there!

now do todays youth have a problem? heck yeah they do, parents didnt do their jobs, they either (A) didnt care to spend time with their kid and just ignored them and didnt care where they went or what they are doing or (B) wanted to be their kids friend more than their authoritative figure... aka whoop their butts and lay down the law........ so the problem is that since the parents dont do their job now the school has to but... hah there just seems to be no easy solution...

I know alot of kids my age that had their parents be the authoritative figure. And what good did that do? You can't put that on your resume and the principal would be like "Oh...He's been whooped this many times in the past 10 years? He must be a good kid." It's not as much the parents fault, it's mainly the group the kid hangs out with. The easy solution is to attack the bigger problems (gangs, pot, drugs, etc), not the "HE WAS 2 MINUTES LATE TO SCHOOL, HE SHOULD GET 3 DETENTIONS."

When i said whooped, i was mainly meaning discipline in general, and as far as the kids he hangs out with.. thats the parents responsibility also, to at least attempt to control that, granted kids will be kids and will do what they want but if the parent sets rules, the kid will have to basically make a choice to do what his parents say or to suffer the punishment, and technology makes everything easier to do... (a k a cell phones instead of house phones so parents really have no idea who their kids are talkin to...) just my theories... but it used to make me mad in h.s.... yknow kids would be like... my parents found out i was drinkin and driving, or they found weed in my car... and they would like get their car taken away for 2 weeks or something..... jeesh my parents would have SOLD my truck, it would be in auto trader the NEXT day if i would done stupid stuff like that...

Yeah, but what really irritates me..Is when you see someone who just turned 16 driving a really nice car worth more than 10k-20k. And then when they wreck it (they usually do), they get daddies truck or mommies car. When I turned 16, I drove a Ranger, and when I wrecked that..I didn't drive for 3-4 months.

Yeah i see what you are saying, it bugs me when they get stuff and dont appreciate it, i mean i had an 88 toyota truck 4x4 but i lifted it and stuff so i liked it but it wasnt by any means a "nice vehicle", however it used to bug me when parents bought thier kids stuff, however my parents have helped me out plenty but im very appreciative and take care of stuff... yknow and one of my really good friends now is extremely wealthey and shes had 2 extremely nice, european cars, but shes a great kid and not snobby at all and takes care of her stuff and doesnt brag at all, so i learned that just because peoples parents are nice to them and have the ability to by them stuff, dont judge them for it, because they could just be blessed, but i think the problem is that it goes to SO many immature kids heads that "my parents have $$ so that means im the stuff and am better than other people" and thats whne it ticks me off....

Around where I live in california none of that stuff goes on in highschools but I wouldn't be against finger printing highschool kids if 76% of the areas crime is done by minors. How would you feel if somebody broke into your car in your school parking lot a week from now and they caught him because they finger printed every one at your school. Is finger printing really that big of deal anyways? If they tried to finger print me when i was in highschool I would of thought "sweet do I get to miss class for this?"

edit: sorry I quoted the wrong person.

as for this car thing yaeh a lot of people have mom and dad cars (preps) but again take this info remeber it till your class reunion and remind them that they had that one awesum car and demolished it so now they are driving that junker out in the parking lot as for me i can put up with the bus to get to school (rather than driveing my dads old tahoe that gets 10gallons to the mile) it kinda sitts there for now

The wiretaps preventing people from getting on the plane is a bunch of ****. People were getting upset so they had to do SOMETHING to make it look like there was a purpose to all of it, and it obviously worked.

I dunno, it just looks fishy to me that a bunch of people were upset about the whole wiretap thing and then they "foiled a plan" thanks to them. It just seems like they are trying to make it look like a good thing.

It's still just invasion of privacy, even if it stopped (which we don't even know if the taps even stopped them) some would be terrorists.

1, i have not seen any specific privacy rights outlined in the federalist papers. (and i am not really inclined to read 200+ pages to find it because of below)

2, even if there were writtings of privacy, they were a set of Essays (and have no legal power of any kind) published in only new york papers, written based on hamilton, jay and madisons interepratation of the constitution while also on the edge of propaganda to influence new yorkers to ratify the constitution

3, the federalist letters were written before the bill of rights was added and the federalist letters actually argued against the need for a bill of rights

Article V.

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article, and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of it's equal Suffrage in the Senate.

Amendment IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the plate to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

The purpose for reading the federalist papers is to gain understanding of the frame of mind the founding fathers were in when they wrote the constitution.

The fact that article 5 was written into the constitution was evidence of their ability to see that things would progress beyond the point at which they lived. This is how they made a provision for change.

Outlaw 50
08-23-2006, 06:21 AM
One other thing: The bill of rights is simply a list of amendments to the original draft of the constitution. The purpose of which was to explain in detail where the power was.

The POWER was put in the hands of the PEOPLE and not the politicians.

please define unreasonable........ and how unreasonable relates or should relate to anti-terrorism/force protection

while we are at, please define how the situation this thread is based on is unreasonable

and also please define how illegal search and seizure are the same as a right to privacy?

and if there were merit to your federalist papers concept, wouldnt they have been published outside of New York??

my little sister said my old high school doens't do *****. there hasn't been a drug dog in more than 4 years, no fingure prints or any kind of id cards. The only security they have is a sign on the door saying all visitors to report to the main office where they'll give you a name tag. Nothing has ever happened there so there is no need. there's kind of a weed problem, but at least it's not anyhting harder. The cops and the weed dealers kind of got this deal worked out where the cops don't bother the pot heads if they turn over the coke, LSD and other hard drug dealers. It's kind of messed up but could be worse i guess.
