I ran a 406 10.5:1 for a long time--significant difference over stock, IMO. The overbore itself doesn't do much. It's the compression bump that makes the difference.

I'm almost sure the stock 85mm bore gaskets work with a 86mm bore. I think that's probably why you can't find a specific gasket set for a 86mm bore. I know Wiseco and JE gasket kits are the same part numbers for 85mm or 86mm bores.

yeah, the stock gasket is used for 85 and 86mm bores. i would get a thin cosmetic flexsteel head gasket from C&D racing. i am not sure if you got the 924 or the 926 grind from tc but both are good cams. i ran the 924 and it was comparable to the new stage 3 hotcam. i don't know, it may be more like the new stage 2 but i have not ridden one of those so i can't comment on that. the 926 was always a bad arse woods cam. you will notice a big difference compared to stock.

I put the same setup together a few months ago and it is a huge difference from stock. I went from stock motor and pipe to a Procircuit with 406 and tc cam and it hauls now. Huge low and mid range gains. Let me know how you like it.

Me too...when I went 406 on mine I was quite impressed. It was definitely a good shot in the arm without dropping too much dough!:p
