Because I wanted a 300 not stock. This sleeve allows it. Its very thick.

Where you going to get the 75mm piston kit from & why did you get the thick H-5032H replacement sleeve, was the old stock sleeve cracked in the cylinder.
Sleeve for the 295cc big bore kit is a H-5032B.

well if you have a thicker sleeve, cant you keep reboring without having to resleeve again. I have an 88 cylinder that has the intake bridge ports cracked and I think if put in a big bore cylinder it will just replace the intake bridge??

You are correct on the thick sleeve, you can bore in from a 66mm up to a 73.50mm only problem though, if the aluminum part of the cylinder is cracked it will need removing. Some of the aluminum will still be in place even with the thick sleeve bored in.

I have a mod I do to cylinders that are cracked in that area if the intake areas not ported to wide. Mod works real well on a unported cylinder. Only change after the mod, the old model 86 piston & a base spacer plate will need to be used.

If the bridge ports are already thin or cracked this sleeve will fix it by replacing them. Yes my stock sleeve was cracked. I bought the sleeve from ebay. 614-402-1811 James@atvunlimited.com call this guy. You can get the sleeve for $110 The piston you gotta get from la sleeve. Wiseco makes them for la sleeve.

Also local machine shop is doing it plus head mod for $80. Im just doing this because I needed a little more power for woods racing. I raced it last year in harescrambles and the four strokes were right with me I wanted to leave them.

no my cylinder has ported like crazy by LRD, I am pretty sure the area that is left (its not much) would be replaced by a big sleeve. Is this still a 250 or is a 300 sleeve?

Neil I would be interested to hear more about your fix, I already run the spacer plate and 86 piston.

I would rather not explain the mod unless you send me one to be fixed.
If I did, & somebody reads it that has one broken & then trys to do the mod themself, more than likely they will do it wrong & then the jug will be junk for sure after that.

I used plain dry wall screw because of they are stiff and have a good bite. Its 3/8 thick. I have two of these stainless skid plates so Im experimenting on my well used one.

Its a piece of teflon Im going to make a new taller one. I dont like this one. Seems too short. I wanted to make something to keep the chain from side slap. I cant drill into the swing arm because its chrome and its a laeger cr500 link set up. I really dont want to mess it up.
